Bashar Masri is the visionary behind the new city of Rawabi. He is the Chairman of the Palestine Development and Investment Company (PEX: PADICO) and the founder of Massar International, a company he created in 1995 to promote private sector development and economic growth in Palestine.

Masri serves on the boards of numerous private companies and philanthropic organizations, including An-Najah National University, the Palestine Olympic Committee and the Palestine Chess Federation. Masri is also a member of the Deans’ Council of Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy’s School of Government. He was named by the World Economic Forum as a “Global Leader of Tomorrow” and in 2018 ranked among the World’s 50 Greatest Leaders by Fortune Magazine.
