The J. Paul Getty Museum – Los Angeles

The J. Paul Getty Museum commonly referred to as the Getty, is an art museum in California housed on two campuses: the Getty Center and Getty Villa. The two locations received over two million visitors in 2016.

The main museum in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles features pre-20th-century European paintings, drawings, illuminated manuscripts, sculpture, and decorative arts; and photographs from the 1830s through present-day from all over the world. The secondary museum, the Getty Villa, is in the Malibu neighborhood and displays art from Ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria. European artworks from as far back as the 8th Century can be found in this California art museum.
